Teen Workshop! Basic Carpentry and Tool Instruction
January 21 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm$20
We will be covering an introduction to woodworking and wood finishing techniques. Students will receive a crash course in wood material, what tools are in a typical workshop, and how to be safe when working in a shop environment. Students get to make their own toolbox and take it home.
Concepts & Objectives
Learn the basics of woodworking, including tool usage and safety.
Materials and Tools
For the class we will supply you with the materials needed. (Woodworking can be messy, so dress appropriately!)
Students, 6-12th grade
Please be respectful of the short time you and the other participants have to learn, and arrive at least 5 minutes before class so we can start on time. If you come in late you disrupt the class and can easily miss important information.
Cancellation of Class
If minimum number is not met in class enrollment, the instructor may opt to cancel class. In the event of a cancellation you will be offered a spot in a future class. We will attempt to give as much notice as possible in the case of a cancellation.
There is a free parking lot on the corner of Stewart St. and Allis St.
