Field Trips (Grades 5-12)
Brinn Labs Field Trips are available in three-hour blocks in the morning or afternoon, and include a tour of our makerspace and exhibit fabrication shop, and design and build activities. Please ask about customized programming to meet a specific need or interest. (Cost is $15-$25 per student.)
Arts and Industry
Design thinking and group build challenges inform hands-on opportunities to work with industrial and art making processes and materials. Groups can select mold making, casting or printmaking activities.
Showcasing the skills needed for the jobs of the future, multiple, fun and fast-paced group activities will stretch creative thinking and problem-solving and promote collaborative skills.
Circuits and Loops
A hands-on introduction to electronics with basic prototyping materials. Group activities focus on conductivity, design and function in increasingly complex challenges.
Rough Carpentry/Framing • Soldering and Circuit Boards • 3D Modeling Design Prototyping • Stop Motion Animation • Introduction to Arduino, Scratch and other technology tools
